Aups is a 20mn drive to the wild and dramatic Gorges du Verdon - the deepest gorge in Europe - and the Lac de St Croix, for swimming or wind surfing in its brilliant turquoise blue waters.

Terraced vineyards, olive groves and pine forests surround the town.

The pretty neighbouring villages of Cotignac, Villecroze or Tourtour are delightful to visit and discover on foot.

Further afield Aix-en-Provence, St Tropez or Cannes and the beaches of the Cote d'Azur are just over an hours drive.
